Job Description
HR Manager (Direct Hire) ๐ El Segundo, CA (Onsite) ๐ผ Full-Time | Direct HireWe are partnering with a growing and well-established organization in El Segundo seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and execute day-to-day human resources operations. This is a hands-on role supporting a company of approximately 140 employees, working closely with leadership while managing a small HR team.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is comfortable balancing both strategic initiatives and tactical HR responsibilities.
Position OverviewThe HR Manager will oversee all core HR functions including employee relations, compliance, payroll oversight, benefits administration, and HRIS management. This role will supervise a team of two and serve as a key partner to leadership in driving HR best practices and ensuring operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee daily HR operations for a workforce of ~140 employeesSupervise and mentor a small HR team (2 staff members)Partner with leadership on employee relations matters, performance management, and organizational planningEnsure compliance with all federal, state (California), and local employment laws and regulationsOversee payroll processing using Paycom, including auditing and resolving discrepanciesMaintain and optimize HRIS data integrity, reporting, and workflows within PaycomAdminister employee benefits programs and support open enrollment processesLead onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive employee experienceDevelop, implement, and update HR policies and proceduresSupport talent acquisition efforts as needed, including recruiting coordination and hiring strategyManage HR reporting, metrics, and internal auditsQualifications5+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilitiesPrior experience managing HR for a mid-sized organization (100+ employees preferred)Hands-on experience with Paycom (required)Experience processing or overseeing payroll (multi-state experience a plus)Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR complianceProven ability to handle sensitive employee relations issues with discretion and professionalismExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
