Must-Haves Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field required 10+ years of progressive HR experience , including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role Experience working in a manufacturing environment required Strong background in HRIS systems; Workday experience preferred Thorough knowledge of federal and California state HR laws and regulations Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite ; computer literacy required Demonstrated project management skills Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred but not mandatory Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion Skilled at conflict resolution, coaching, and delivering difficult messages effectively About the Role Serve as a strategic business partner to plant leadership, providing guidance and support across every facet of HR. You will build a high-performance culture, drive employee engagement, and align human resources initiatives with operational goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Partner with site operations leaders to design and implement proactive employee relations programs that foster positive morale and engagement Develop and execute innovative, cost-effective talent strategies to attract, hire, and retain top talent across all levels of the organization Lead staffing and recruitment activities , including manpower planning, full-cycle recruiting for salaried staff, and direct hiring for production team members Manage onboarding end-to-end , including background checks, drug screenings, offer letters, new hire paperwork, and orientation Oversee HR systems and databases , ensuring accurate payroll and employee records Manage employee leaves of absence, unemployment claims, and policy compliance Conduct investigations and guide management through fair, consistent issue resolution Lead training and development , including performance reviews, succession planning, technical training for skilled roles, and leadership development in partnership with the Corporate L&OD team Administer corrective action processes aligned with company values Partner with Corporate HR on communications, compensation, benefits, and policy development to ensure consistency and compliance Manage local compensation programs , including performance appraisals, wage rate administration, and annual increase recommendations Support benefits administration , responding to employee and supervisor inquiries Lead and develop HR staff through coaching, performance reviews, and career development Organize employee engagement and recognition events that strengthen workplace culture What You'll Achieve Build a high-performance, high-engagement workplace where employees want to stay and grow Deliver measurable improvements in recruitment speed, retention, and workforce capability Strengthen the site's compliance posture across federal and California state HR regulations Develop HR talent and infrastructure that scales with operational needs Establish HR as a trusted strategic partner to plant leadership and the broader business Why This Role True seat at the leadership table with influence over strategy, talent, and culture High-impact role in a manufacturing environment where HR drives operational performance Direct supervisory responsibility with opportunity to coach and develop an HR team Collaborative partnership with Corporate HR and cross-site teams on enterprise initiatives Ideal Candidate Profile You are a seasoned HR leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution .
