This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of human resource functions within the organization. The HR Manager will be responsible for managing benefits, recruiting, employee relations, training, and other HR-related tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to a dynamic team and make a significant impact on the organization. Responsibilities Benefits Maintain benefits plans, including medical, workers' comp, disability, time off, and retirement plans. Enroll/terminate employees in/from benefit plans. Counsel employees on benefits problems and choices. Act as the main contact for brokers/agents/providers, ensuring cost-effectiveness of plans and recommending changes to management. Recruiting & Orientation Facilitate the hiring process with managers. Post jobs and review resumes. Check references and interview candidates. Prepare hiring paperwork. Orient new employees on company policies, benefits, etc. Employee Relations Counsel employees and managers on personnel issues, advising on the correct course of action. Conduct investigations and document performance problems. Advise management on compliance matters. Training Assist employees and managers in identifying training needs. Assess providers and recommend programs. Provide training sessions in non-department-specific topics as requested/approved by management. Other Manage the employee review process. Complete compensation change reports and participate in management discussions regarding pay. Manage 401k administration and communicate with brokers on changes and enhancements. Maintain human resource records per legal requirements. Prepare annual AAP plan and ensure compliance requirements are met. Qualifications BA/BS or equivalent education level; experience with progressively responsible positions as an HR Generalist. Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with state and federal labor laws, FMLA, etc. Strong interpersonal skills, judgment, professionalism, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, customer service orientation, and teamwork capability. Required Work Hours Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Benefits Competitive pay ranging from $45 to $60 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional Details The work environment is typically quiet, allowing for focused and efficient work.
