In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of payroll processing, benefits administration, and human resources functions to ensure a seamless experience for our team members. Your expertise in payroll management, HRIS systems, and accounting software will drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across our organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape our HR strategies while maintaining a lively, positive workplace environment that values every employee's contribution. Ability to comfortably commute to Perris, CA when the building relocates by Q2 of 2026. This is a full time on-site position. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll processing using systems such as Paycom, ensuring timely and accurate payments for all employees and interns. Oversee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and compliance with applicable regulations. Maintain and update HRIS (Human Resources Information System) databases to ensure data accuracy and security. Conduct account reconciliation and financial analysis related to payroll expenses using accounting software like QuickBooks or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as Paycom. Prepare journal entries for payroll transactions, general ledger reconciliations, and other financial reports in accordance with double-entry bookkeeping principles. Collaborate with the accounting team on accounts payable/receivable processes related to payroll costs and benefits payments. Ensure compliance with tax regulations by managing tax filings, reporting requirements, and audit preparations related to payroll and employee benefits. Support human resources functions including recruitment coordination, onboarding processes, employee relations, and policy enforcement. Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy using 10-key typing skills while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies or process improvements; generate reports for management review. Maintain documentation of all payroll activities, benefit plans, employee records, and audit trails in accordance with organizational policies. Qualifications Proven experience managing payroll systems such as Paycom; familiarity with HRIS platforms is essential. Strong knowledge of payroll management practices combined with a solid understanding of accounting principles including general ledger accounting, journal entries, debits & credits, and account reconciliation. Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks along with experience in financial concepts related to payroll processing and benefits administration. Familiarity with governmental reporting requirements and tax regulations affecting payroll and employee benefits. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed data entry accurately under tight deadlines using 10-key typing skills. Excellent analysis skills to interpret financial data and recommend process improvements. Background in human resources functions such as recruitment support, employee onboarding, benefits administration, and policy enforcement. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
