Job Description

HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR A
respected California-based professional services organization is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to serve as its senior HR leader. Based in Sacramento, this role provides strategic and operational leadership across multiple California offices. Key Responsibilities Lead firm-wide HR strategy and operations Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Oversee compensation administration, benchmarking, and review cycles Manage benefits administration and vendor relationships Guide employee relations, investigations, and performance management Support workforce planning, recruiting, retention, and organizational development Lead and develop an established HR team Qualifications SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or PHRca certification required 8-10+ years of progressive HR experience 3+ years leading an HR team in a professional services environment Strong California employment law expertise Experience supporting multi-office operations within California Compensation $125,000-$180,000 base salary Benefits Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, employer-paid life and disability insurance, 401(k) with employer contributions, paid time off, transportation reimbursement, wellness reimbursement, and cell phone reimbursement. Work Arrangement Full-time onsite position based in Sacramento with approximately 10-15% travel between California office locations.
