Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to support a broad range of people operations and partner with leadership in Ventura, California. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who can balance strategic HR guidance with hands-on execution across employee relations, talent processes, compliance, and daily administration. The role will help strengthen workplace culture, improve organizational effectiveness, and ensure HR practices align with business needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Advise managers and department leaders on employee relations matters, team effectiveness, performance concerns, and people-focused decisions while handling sensitive situations with discretion.

  • Analyze HR data, dashboards, and workforce trends to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend changes to policies, staffing approaches, or departmental practices.
  • Partner with leadership on staffing plans, organizational design, restructuring efforts, and workflow improvements that enhance business operations.
  • Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, including candidate sourcing, interviewing, offer coordination, onboarding activities, and orientation for new employees.
  • Administer leave programs and employee separation processes across multiple states while maintaining compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Help minimize organizational risk by supporting investigations, reinforcing policy standards, resolving workplace conflicts, and applying sound performance management practices.
  • Develop and deliver HR policies, employee communications, training initiatives, and engagement programs that promote a positive and productive work environment.
  • Oversee benefits administration, review market information, and recommend program enhancements that support employee well-being and cost awareness.
  • Improve HR operations by refining administrative workflows, driving process improvements, maintaining HRIS accuracy, and monitoring compliance and audit readiness.
