The Director designs and manages workforce programs that build skills, increase economic mobility, and respond to the evolving needs of employers and the labor market. This role requires collaboration with employers, educational institutions, community organizations, and government partners to create pathways to sustainable employment. The Director ensures programs are effective, responsive to community needs, and aligned with regional workforce priorities.
Key Responsibilities include:
Lead and implement a workforce development strategy aligned with the organization's mission and community needs. Oversee workforce programs including job training, career coaching, job placement, and skill-building workshops. Develop innovative programs that support career pathways, job readiness, and credential attainment. Build and maintain partnerships with employers, workforce boards, educational institutions, and community organizations to expand employment opportunities. Conduct client assessments, support Individualized Development Plans (IDPs), and connect participants to training and supportive services. Supervise workforce development staff and foster a collaborative, mission-driven team culture. Track program outcomes, ensure compliance with grant requirements, and prepare timely reports. Use data to strengthen program performance and participant success. Support grant development, fundraising efforts, and communications that highlight program impact. Represent the organization in workforce coalitions, community forums, and policy discussions. Maintain strong knowledge of community resources and uphold professional, client-centered service standards.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following field: education, sociology, business administration, public relations or related field. Five (5) years' experience in the workforce field including 3 years of supervisory experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience in working with non-profit and private sectors as well as with government institutions and community organizations. Dynamic, able to work independently and take the appropriate initiatives with respect to the center's programs and operations. Fluent in written/spoken Haitian Creole and English Sant La is committed to culturally responsive, community-centered care. Bilingual and bicultural candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
