Oxbow Carbon LLC is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida. This role is responsible for managing and executing core HR functions. The Director of Human Resources will have exceptional leadership, collaboration, situation adaptability and influencing skills to ensure the organization's global human resources programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives. Department Management Manage all HR day-to-day operations/initiatives/timelines. Implement human capital strategies that support the growth of the business. Benefits Responsible for the strategic oversight for benefits programs in alignment with organizational goals and budget. Analyze benefit plan design, vendor options, utilization data, and cost trends. Oversee relationships with brokers, vendors, and third-party administrators to ensure high service quality and operational efficiency. Support retirement plan audits, documentation, and record retention. Oversee adherence to federal and state government filings (e.g., 5500s, ACA, EEO Reporting) and ensure compliance with ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, IRS, EEO, and DOL requirements. Payroll Responsible for the strategic oversight and operational excellence of the organization's payroll function. Partner with executive leadership to ensure programs support the organization's strategic objectives. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations and internal audits. Mentor and lead the payroll team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. HR Operations & Compliance Manage day-to-day HR operations including policy administration, onboarding, offboarding, and recordkeeping. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook materials. Partner with Legal and leadership on investigations, corrective actions, and risk mitigation. HR Systems and Reporting Directs the HRIS strategy to align with business objectives. Partners with leadership to align HR technology with organizational needs. Ensures data accuracy, security, and compliance with privacy regulations. Drives efficiency by automating HR workflows and enhancing user experience. Talent Acquisition Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the organization's talent acquisition function, ensuring Oxbow attracts, selects and retains high-quality talent aligned with business objectives. Ensures recruiting strategy supports operational goals. Ensures hiring practices are consistent and compliant. Monitors recruiting metrics to drive continuous improvement. Professional Experience and Qualifications A bachelor's degree is required. Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR leadership roles. Proven experience designing and managing comprehensive benefit programs. Thorough understanding of benefit plan design, administration, compliance, and best practices Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional teams. Proven expertise across all HR functional areas. Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws, as well as general HR practices, regulations, and compliance requirements. Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and diplomacy when engaging with individuals at all organizational levels. Exhibits exceptional attention to detail, reliable follow-through, and proactive anticipation of organizational needs. SHRM-CP or
SHRM-SCP
