Job Description

Chris Preble from Robert Half is working on a HR Manager role for a Rome, NY client of his. This smaller size organization offers terrific work life balance.

This individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR functions, supporting employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and overseeing payroll administration and processing.

Manage daily HR operations including employee relations, performance management, onboarding, and policy administrationOversee full-cycle recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring coordinationAdminister employee benefits, leave programs, and HRIS records managementEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal company policiesSupport leadership with organizational planning, workforce development, and employee engagement initiativesHandle employee coaching, conflict resolution, and performance-related mattersMaintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and HR documentationCoordinate new hire onboarding and employee training initiativesPrepare HR-related reporting, metrics, and workforce analyticsPayroll ResponsibilitiesOversee and process recurring payroll cycles accurately and on timeMaintain payroll records, deductions, garnishments, and tax-related informationCoordinate with finance/accounting regarding payroll reconciliations and reportingEnsure payroll compliance with applicable wage and hour regulationsAddress employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies as needed
