  • Full-time We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Manager to join our client's Human Resources team in Honolulu.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR leader who enjoys balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on operational leadership in a mission-driven organization. Position Summary The Human Resources Manager oversees the daily operations of the Human Resources department while providing leadership across: Talent acquisition & recruitment Employee relations Benefits administration Leave management & workers' compensation Organizational development HR compliance & policy administration Employee engagement initiatives This role partners closely with leadership to support organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, employee development, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Human Resources Leadership & Operations Manage day-to-day HR operations and ensure efficient, responsive service delivery Help develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and organizational employment laws and policies Review personnel/payroll documentation and workforce reporting Maintain confidentiality and integrity of employee records and HR systems Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts including sourcing, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and hiring Partner with hiring managers and selection committees throughout the hiring process Ensure equitable and compliant hiring practices Support workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives Employee Relations Provide guidance on performance management, workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution Conduct employee relations investigations and recommend appropriate corrective action when needed Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive workplace culture Benefits, Leave & Workers' Compensation Oversee employee benefits programs including health, retirement, wellness, and ancillary benefits Coordinate annual open enrollment and employee benefits communications Manage leave administration including
FMLA, ADA
accommodations, workers' compensation, and protected leave programs Partner with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators Organizational Development & Special Projects Support employee engagement and culture-building initiatives Assist with training and professional development programs Participate in process improvement, HR technology, and organizational effectiveness projects Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible HR experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience totaling 9 years Strong knowledge of: Employment laws and HR best practices Recruitment and talent acquisition Employee relations and workplace investigations Benefits and leave administration HR systems and Microsoft Office applications
