Full-Time | Monday-Friday About To The Rescue At To The Rescue, we are mission-driven and community-focused. We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to lead employee relations and compliance efforts across the organization. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in complex workplace situations, conducts investigations with confidence and objectivity, and partners closely with leaders to create fair, consistent outcomes. As a trusted advisor to leadership, you will help ensure policies are applied consistently, investigations are thorough and confidential, and workplace concerns are handled with professionalism and care. This is a high-trust, individual contributor role within a collaborative HR team. What You'll Do Employee Relations & Investigations Conduct thorough, impartial investigations related to harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage/hour concerns, and other policy matters Interview employees and leaders, gather documentation, assess credibility, and determine findings Prepare clear, confidential investigation summaries with recommendations Track and resolve grievances from intake through closure Partner with leadership during mediations, arbitrations, or other proceedings as needed Ensure Compliance & Policy Integrity Monitor and interpret federal and state employment laws Recommend policy updates to maintain legal compliance Ensure policies are consistently applied across departments and sites Maintain accurate and confidential employee records Support Engagement & Organizational Excellence Promote positive employee engagement initiatives Manage employee separations in a compliant and professional manner Partner in achieving operational and business plan goals Analyze Trends & Improve Processes Evaluate employee relations trends and recommend proactive solutions Collaborate with HR leadership and operations on process enhancements Contribute best-practice insights for leadership discussions Partner with Leaders Coach managers through employee concerns and performance issues Provide guidance on policy interpretation and workplace conflict Support consistent, fair decision-making Identify training needs and recommend education solutions What We're Looking For Minimum 4 years of Human Resources generalist experience Demonstrated experience leading employee relations investigations independently Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm, objective, and professional in high-pressure situations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to influence and build consensus without direct authority Strong organizational and time management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google tools
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field PHR or similar HR certification Why Join To The Rescue?
