Immediately Job Description PURPOSE The HR Business Partner is responsible for assisting with the administration of all aspects of total rewards for all employees of Fort Wayne Community Schools. The HRBP must be knowledgeable of rewards and recognition programs, educational licensure, CDL DOT testing requirements, benefits enrollment, insurance billing, employee file maintenance, FMLA and ADA, unemployment, workers compensation, retirement plans, and benefits compliance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination equivalent to High School diploma and four or more years' in Human Resources Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or business-related field or commensurate experience, preferred Human Resources experience including working directly with employees in all aspects of an employee's tenure during their time of employment, preferred SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and CEBS professional designations preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manages the rewards and recognitions functions for the school district Manages all aspects of the CDL DOT testing program Assists various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 403(b), wellness benefits, etc. Assists with orientations for benefits enrollment and retirement planning. Assists with maintaining employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately for payroll deduction. Assists employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims. Assists with unemployment claims with appropriate documentation. May review monthly unemployment statements. Assists with workers' compensation claims with third-party administrator. May follow up on claims. Assists with leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA. Assists with interpreting FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities. Assists the total rewards and leadership teams in obtaining statistics and information in renewal process of any health, life and retirement plans that benefit the company. Assists the total rewards team in completing benefits reporting requirements. Supports the FWCS Schools of Success mission to empower all students to reach their potential through equitable and relevant community-connected experiences to ensure students achieve at least one of the 4E's - (Enrollment, Employment, Enlistment, or Entrepreneurship.) Positively promotes and embodies the FWCS Schools of Success six core competencies in our daily work: Creativity and Innovation, Critical and Analytical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, Cultural Agility, and Self-Direction Perform related duties, as assigned.
