We are seeking a proactive, relationship-driven Human Resources Director to help lead and support our growing team while strengthening our culture, systems, compliance, and employee development efforts. This role is ideal for someone who can balance professionalism with approachability, strategy with execution, and accountability with people-first leadership. The HR Director will serve as a trusted partner to leadership while supporting employees across all areas of the business. TATRO is a well-established commercial, industrial, service, plumbing, and mechanical contractor with a strong reputation for quality work, teamwork, and long-term relationships. Responsibilities Lead and oversee all Human Resources functions for the company Partner with leadership on workforce planning, recruiting, retention, employee relations, and succession planning Support managers with coaching, performance management, employee development, and difficult conversations Ensure compliance with employment laws, HR regulations, DOT & Non-DOT requirements, OSHA reporting, workers compensation, and company policies Develop and improve HR policies, procedures, and employee programs Coordinate onboarding, training, employee engagement, and leadership development initiatives Administer and oversee employee benefits, compensation analysis, and HR reporting Oversee and administer weekly payroll functions, employee timekeeping, PTO accrual and tracking, payroll reporting, and related HRIS record management to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance Maintain employee records and HR systems with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality Help foster a positive, accountable, team-oriented workplace culture Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred 5+ years of progressive HR experience preferred Payroll and HRIS experience strongly preferred Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements Experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or skilled trades environments is a plus HR certification (SHRM or HRCI) preferred
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year Benefits:
