Job Overview The Workforce Development Manager will develop, implement, and expand our workforce initiatives while cultivating strong corporate partnerships to create direct employment pathways for program participants. This position will work closely with business leaders, training providers, and community organizations to create sustainable career pathways, ensuring HOPE / TWTW's workforce programs are aligned with the needs of employers and industries in the Baton Rouge and New Roads areas. The Workforce Development Manager will also work closely with clients enrolled in the education and certification training initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee workforce development initiatives, ensuring alignment with HOPE's mission and goals. Develop and implement programs that connect individuals to employers and workforce / educational training programs. Manage and expand RISE, ensuring participants have access to high-quality training programs in high-demand fields that lead to industry-recognized certifications. Establish and maintain relationships with Employers of Choice, creating direct hiring pathways for program participants. Work directly with clients, guiding them through training, employment placement, and career advancement opportunities. Engage with employers and industry leaders, aligning workforce programs with regional labor market needs. Track and evaluate program success, using data to improve outcomes and strengthen workforce initiatives. Build relationships with companies that need coaching and retention services, connecting them to HOPE's expertise in workplace retention and leadership development. Supervisory and Program Alignment Responsibilities Provides direct supervision to the Career Development Specialist (CDS) team, ensuring performance expectations are clearly communicated and consistently met Ensures all CDS goals and key performance indicators are achieved, as defined in coordination with the President and CEO and the Manager of The Way to Work, and in alignment with HOPE's mission and funding requirements Conducts regular one-on-one rhythm meetings with each CDS to monitor progress, offer guidance, and address any performance or program delivery concerns Participates in leading weekly team meetings to foster communication, accountability, and alignment across The Way to Work team Collaborates closely with the Manager of The Way to Work to support the successful implementation of program goals, outcomes, and metrics Accountability:
The Workforce Development Manager is accountable to the President & CEO. In the nonprofit environment, understanding the chain of command is essential. Although directors and volunteers may work closely with staff, employees are ultimately responsible to their supervisor and the President/CEO. Staff should avoid placing managers or volunteers in challenging positions by discussing employment issues outside the designated reporting structure. Relationships:

Bachelor's degree in Workforce Development, Higher Education, Business, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in workforce development, corporate partnerships, employer engagement, or nonprofit leadership. Experience developing direct hiring partnerships with businesses and industries. Knowledge of workforce funding streams and career training programs. Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals facing economic challenges. Strong skills in program development, partnership-building, and workforce retention strategies. BENEFITS
