  • Full-time Job Summary Teufelberger Fiber Rope Corp.
is seeking an experienced HR Director at our Fall River, MA manufacturing facility, who is responsible for both strategy and day-to-day execution across all HR functions. This fully onsite role reports to the local President/Managing Director, as well as the Global Head of Human Resources based in Austria. This position plays a critical role in partnering with local and global leaders and colleagues at all level of the organization to build, develop, and execute Teufelberger's strategic goals. This is a player-coach leadership role, ideal for someone with a strong HR Generalist background who is a practical, solutions-oriented leader who thrives in managing multiple priorities and staying involved in the details. Key Responsibilities HR Leadership Provide oversight and execution of HR operations, ensuring policies, systems, and processes are compliant, efficient, and scalable. Lead and develop a small HR team while improving processes and remaining active in daily HR operations. Responsible for employee relations, investigations, compensation, benefits administration, payroll, FMLA, and workers' compensation and safety. Workforce Planning & Strategic HR Alignment Identify talent needs and develop appropriate recruiting and retention plans, build pipelines for critical roles, and improve onboarding to accelerate time-to-productivity on the floor. Design, implement, and execute consistent, organization-wide talent and performance management practices, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development. Employee Relations & Engagement Demonstrate and promote a positive workplace culture of accountability, collaboration, and teamwork where associates feel valued, supported, and empowered. Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Maintain ongoing analysis of compensation policies, government regulations, and prevailing wage rates. Provide oversight and direct support for payroll processes to promote accuracy and compliance. Policy, Compliance & Risk Management Ensure policies comply with labor laws, employment regulations, reporting and audit requirements and all local and federal laws. Serve as primary resource for workers compensation programs, employee relations, including investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution. HR Data, Reporting & Analytics Maintain and utilize key metrics to support data-driven decision making across all departments. Provide actionable insights to improve staffing, retention, and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Required Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HR leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least two years of senior level HR leadership experience. Strong HR Generalist background and firsthand experience with ADP Workforce Now and Smart Compliance HRIS systems. Current HR certification (HRCI or SHRM), such as SPHR or SHRMSCP, a plus. Strong, practical knowledge of employment law, HR operations, benefits administration, and organizational development required. Experience supporting international or multi-country workforces strongly preferred. Foundation Skills Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills, with a hands-on, practical leadership style. Establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships at all levels Pragmatic, direct leadership style suited to manufacturing environments, while conducting all aspects of the role with integrity, leadership, and respect Ability to balance people's needs with cost, productivity, and compliance Maintaining a global mindset with cultural sensitivity Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong database management and record-keeping abilities, especially with ADP Workforce Now and Smart Compliance Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows and HR-related platforms Strategic thinking with strong financial acumen Executive presence and credibility with senior leaders Education Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field strongly preferred. Advanced degree or HRCI-SPHR or
SHRM-SCP
certification (a plus) Additional training and experience in legal issues, federal and state laws, and business theory/practices.

$120,000.00
