Jul 1, 2026 Job Description The South Coast Educational Collaborative (SCEC) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative Payroll & Human Resources Manager to oversee all payroll and human resource functions for a public educational collaborative serving students with diverse learning needs. The Payroll & Human Resources Manager is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely administration of payroll, employee benefits, retirement reporting, personnel records, compliance requirements, and human resource operations. The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of Massachusetts public-sector payroll practices, ADP payroll systems, Massachusetts Teachers' Retirement System (MTRS), state retirement reporting requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable employment laws. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team member who values open communication, partnership, and shared problem-solving. This position works closely with the Executive Director, Senior Leadership Team, Business Office Team, program administrators, and union representatives. The successful candidate must be able to seek input from appropriate stakeholders, communicate effectively, and make recommendations that reflect the needs and goals of the organization. The ability to work as part of a team and avoid making decisions in isolation is essential to ensuring consistent, informed, and legally compliant human resource and payroll practices.
