Job Description

Position Description:
Full cycle payroll (biweekly): process bi-weekly timesheets, process all garnishments, benefit deductions/contributions, or other payroll related documents, complete and audit bi-weekly payroll, coordinate with 3rd party payroll administrator for issues, ensure local, state, and federal law compliance Full cycle recruiting: Posting ads, screening candidates, completing background and reference checks, generating and sending offers Facilitate the onboarding process for new staff: ensuring completion of new hire paperwork, coordinating training, orientation for benefits, ensuring accuracy for payroll
Benefit Administration:
manage benefit enrollments, process changes and deductions/contributions in payroll, coordinate with 3rd party administrator to resolve issues, manage 401(k) plan through 3rd party administrator Manage time off programs including employee PTO and administer
FMLA Employee Relations:
investigations, conflict resolution, mediation, performance reviews, training Oversee Workers Compensation program, coordinate ADA accommodation requests as needed Facilitate the termination process: exit interviews, exit procedures, processing paperwork and coordinating COBRA benefits Generate and interpret various reporting Other special projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications Summary:
Minimum three years relevant experience in payroll and human resources Bachelor's Degree preferred; preferably with a focus in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or related field. UKG/Kronos HRMS experience is a plus Experience with benefits administration, employee relations, on-boarding, new hire orientation and performance reviews/appraisals Familiarity with union agreements and CBA's is a plus Ability to speak, read and write English and Spanish High level of confidentiality Proficiency in MS Office Suite Strong Knowledge of payroll practices, federal and state regulations Knowledge of recruiting, benefit administration, employee relations practices, on-boarding processes (new hire packages, I-9s, etc.), performance reviews Excellent communication and analytical skills, as well as the ability to exercise sound judgment and arrive at sound conclusions. Knowledge of federal and state employment, civil rights and labor laws, rules and regulations. Knowledge of HR record keeping/file maintenance methods, practices and procedures. Must be able to travel to off-site locations
