Job Description
Job Description The Michigan Civil Service Commission is seeking an experienced Human Resources (HR) professional to be the Human Resources Director for the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA). As the HR Director, you will drive initiatives that support the agency's mission by securing its greatest asset - its employees - and helping them deliver outstanding results for the State of Michigan.
Your responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership :
Developing and executing HR strategies that aligns with the agency's objectives, values, and culture.- Talent Acquisitio n: Attracting and hiring talented candidates, ensuring the right people are in the right roles.
- Complianc e: Ensuring HR and the agency operates within established rules, regulations, and industry standards.
Employee Relations:
Working with employees and exclusive representatives through effective communication and problem solving to maintain a harmonious and productive work environment. What we're looking for :- Proven experience in HR leadership, with a blend of experience, skills, and personality.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking to translate vision into actions.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships.
- Passion for employee engagement, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Position Description:
State Office Administrator 17 Required Education and Experience This position generally requires possession of a bachelor's degree in any major and two years of experience as a professional manager or program/staff specialist, or equivalent experience.
