$18.00•19.50/hrPRIMARY FUNCTION
The Workforce Readiness Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily tasks of the BGCML club members who are participating in the Workforce Readiness work-based program. They will oversee the onboarding and training for work based learners, assign schedules, approve timecards and provide regular feedback and coaching to work based learners.KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare Youth for Career Exploration (work-based learning program) Complete Safety Training Plan and oversee the daily tasks written into the agreement with the City to their established standards and goals. Ensure Workforce Readiness participants are prepared with the right tools and instructions for the tasks that are assigned. Record daily attendance and ensure time records are correct in ADP Demonstrate leadership to ensure conduct, safety and development of members. Report any issues and or concerns to the Workforce Readiness Program Director. Supervision Oversee the safety of members on the job site. Oversee proper record keeping and reporting including site location, event participation, notable achievements, and issues on site. Ensure productive and effective performance by all participating members. Additional Responsibilities Keep a daily list of the condition of equipment. Consult with the Teen Supervisor and Clubhouse Director concerning member and Club issues and achievements. Provide transportation to and from different work sites. Fuel the work truck provided by the City and track mileage used for work. Report any maintenance issues concerning the work truck provided by the City. Meet weekly with theTeen Supervisor Relationships Internal:
Maintain close, daily contact with Teen Supervisor, BGCML staff, and club members.External:
Maintain communication with the City to assist in resolving problems and different instructions of daily tasks as directed by the City and Workforce Readiness Program Director.SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics. Demonstrated organizational, staff and work management abilities.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT/QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods. Must be able to squat or bend to communicate at youth's level. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 10 pounds for short periods. Must be able to participate in physical activities throughout the facility, on the property, and/or on field trips.DISCLAIMER
