Executive Director Job Summary The Human Resources position supports Superior Health Support Systems (SHSS) by delivering accurate, timely, and compliant HR and payroll services. This role plays a key part in promoting SHSS's mission and vision by ensuring strong employee support, consistent policy administration, and effective HR operations across all homes. Objective To provide high‑quality HR and payroll services while upholding the mission, vision, and values of Superior Health Support Systems. Necessary Requirements Must pass a criminal background check. Must be able to bend, squat, and lift a minimum of 25 pounds. Must be free from all communicable diseases. Must demonstrate a compassionate, caring demeanor and a calm approach when working with the senior population. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be a team player with a positive, professional attitude. Must communicate effectively in verbal and written formats with employees, residents, families, visitors, volunteers, and community members. Must have a dependable work history demonstrating punctuality and reliability. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed. Must be able to multitask, stay organized, and provide excellent customer service. Must be able to work within the policies and direction of SHSS. Education & Experience Requirements Associate's degree required , with a minimum of 2-5 years of HR experience . Payroll and scheduling experience preferred. Job Responsibilities Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Human Resources position will: Payroll & Employee Records Process bi‑weekly payroll for all SHSS locations. Maintain accurate employee records, including certifications, PTO balances, anniversary dates, and compliance documentation. Respond to unemployment agencies, workers' compensation inquiries, employment verifications, and reference checks. Recruitment & Onboarding Monitor staffing needs for each home. Create and manage job postings, conduct interviews, and schedule new‑hire appointments. Complete all new‑hire and separation paperwork in compliance with state and federal regulations. Policy & Compliance Oversee disciplinary processes and ensure managers follow company policies and procedures consistently. Maintain and update official SHSS policy documents. Ensure compliance with FMLA, state labor laws, and internal HR standards. Employee Support Serve as a direct point of contact for employees, answering HR‑related questions and providing guidance. Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance and leave policies. Administrative & Operational Support Oversee SHSS in‑kind donations and prepare related journal entries. Perform receptionist duties as needed. Complete additional tasks assigned by the Executive Director or Board of Directors.
