Job Description

HR Manager Who We Are:
AGM Management, LLC is a residential apartment property management company. Our team members strive to provide high-quality, safe, and well-run affordable housing for those in need. At this time, we are seeking a Human Resources Manager to work at our home office in Troy, MI. The position is Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with a 1-hour paid lunch. This position requires full-time, in-person attendance
Requirements/Preferences:
5-10 years of experience as a Human Resources Manager Superior math skills and the ability to work confidently with detailed numerical analysis. This role is meant for a bookkeeper or controller, who instead went into HR Detail-oriented, mission-driven, organized, yet flexible Responsible and accountable Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's or higher preferred Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in how to use AI, Microsoft Office, and fluency in software generally Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent at process development and implementation Excellent written and verbal communication skills Willingness to work independently and as a team Job responsibilities include: Perform all administrative functions required of the HR Department Allocate employment costs (health insurance, workers comp, 401k contributions) across 40+ property locations Formalize & lead onboarding efforts for all new hires Conduct exit interviews & complete offboarding tasks Organize training for new employees & perform 30/60/90 employment check-ins Roll out learning management system in Paycor Compute annual raises and bonuses Oversee preparation of performance evaluations Serve as a key point of contact for employees and act as a 'switchboard' to direct them to the resources they need Plan and facilitate annual SUMMIT event and similar activities to increase team collaboration Work on initiatives to increase teamwork and connection with our company, and to reduce employee turnover, such as quarterly newsletter Work on short term goals with other team members Communicate in a regular and scheduled way with employees to update them on policy and gain employee feedback Manage HR Recruiter to address talent acquisition/retention needs for approximately five open positions. Help with recruitment as necessary.
