Job Description

Company Overview Village Ranch, Inc. is a dedicated non-profit 501(c)3 organization committed to providing residential placement and therapeutic services for adolescent males and females. We license foster care homes within our community and offer ongoing support and training to ensure the well-being of the children in our care. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Human Resources Manager to join our team. This vital role involves managing a wide range of HR functions, from talent acquisition and employee onboarding to benefits administration and employee relations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and supporting organizational growth through strategic HR initiatives. This role is responsible for managing all Human Resources functions for Village Ranch and Village Ranch Child & Family Services, including, but not limited to, the following. 1.
Recruitment:
Responsible for the new hire/recruitment process includes posting jobs, setting up interview schedule, and assisting with other tasks in the process, as requested. 2.
New Employees:
Responsible for meeting directly and onboarding new employees with employment paperwork, preparing offer letters, etc. Responsible for preparing contracts for Independent Contractors and tracking monthly billing for invoicing purposes. 3.
Documentation:
Responsible for maintaining employee files, file retention tracking and training tracking. Responsible to track employee tenure for recognition purposes. 4.
Benefits:
Responsible to manage employee benefits ensuring enrollment is completed when eligible, coordinate with providers for enrollment and monthly billings. Responsible to manage COBRA and ensure paperwork is sent and tracked in a timely manner. Responsible on an annual basis to work with CEO on benefit offerings and annual renewals. Responsible to manage the annual open enrollment process for all insurance and benefit offerings. 5.
Background Studies and Licenses:
Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the DHS Background Study requirements. Responsible for credentialing (including recredentialing) of all licensed therapists providing services to clients at Village Ranch. This includes tracking to ensure there is no lapse in eligibility for billing out services. 6.
Compliance:
Responsible for all human resources policies including the HR Manual updates to ensure all employment laws are followed and polices of the organization are communicated with clarity and consistency. Responsible to research and educate oneself, as needed, on current employment law at both the state and federal levels. Responsible to review all disciplinary documents for accuracy, clarity and following employment law requirements. Responsible for monitoring and processing workman's compensation and First Report of Injury with employees and work comp insurance company. Responsible for monitoring unemployment claims including raising an issue, submitting supporting documentation and/or involvement in unemployment hearings. 7.
Payroll:
Manage the Paylocity HRIS and payroll system including data entry of employee information, reviewing timecards and working with supervisors to ensure accuracy and hourly requirements are met. Process payroll in a timely manner. Conduct payroll audits on a bi-weekly basis.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Responsible for serving as the backup for answering incoming calls and routing calls appropriately to all areas of the company. Responsible to serve as backup for monitoring the front office reception area ensuring guests, clients, residents and staff are greeted and tended to upon arrival. This position is an in-person role in our Cokato location.
Experience and Qualifications:
Proven experience in human resources management or related administrative roles. Strong knowledge of employment & labor law compliance, benefits administration, and HR best practices. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently. Excellent communication skills paired with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of an organization. Experience with recruiting tools like Indeed and Linked In; proficiency in social media management for employer branding is a plus. Ability to adapt quickly to change management initiatives while maintaining attention to detail in data entry and record keeping. Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality measures in a professional and ethic manner. Join us in making a meaningful difference! Pay:
$55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
