Our company needs to identify an HR leader and professional to join our leadership team in a highly visible, hands-on role that will work closely with executive leadership to shape and execute HR strategy across the organization for our operations and our people. Reporting to the President, the ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of strategic thinking and day-to-day tactical execution with a proven ability to support a multi-site workforce in a dynamic, operation-driven environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits; corrective action process and investigations; performance management; talent management; recognition and reward; training and development. Manage, lead and develop the HR team members and assess future team needs. Monitor and audit to ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommend best practices; review and modify policies/practices to maintain compliance internally and externally. Assess, audit and develop a high proficiency in all HRIS, payroll and benefit related systems within the organization. Partner with management team and respective internal organization groups to develop highly effective formal and informal employee communications program Identify and report on key performance indicators for the organization's human resource and talent management functions by assessing the organization's success and market competitiveness based on these metrics Demonstrate financial and analytical acumen as well as strong operations orientation and apply these talents in developing the HR operating plan and functions.
Qualifications:
Ten (10) years of Human Resources experience with a minimum of five (5) years in HR leadership role managing people, policies and practices. Experience in a multi-site organization with matrix reporting and vibrant operations / human resource partnership. Transportation or logistics industry experience preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, relationship building and influencing skills. Hands-on approach with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically. Professional certification preferred (SHRM CP/SCP; SPHR)
