Job Description
Medieval Metalwerx, a full-service metal fabrication shop in Mankato, MN, is looking for an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to help strengthen our human resources functions. You'll work closely with leadership and staff across the shop and office to put HR strategies into action that support our business goals, boost employee engagement, and ensure they're always in line with company policies and employment laws.

Responsibilities:
- Support the daily operations of the HR department, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, and performance management
- Administer employee benefit programs, acting as the main contact for all employee questions related to benefits, time off, and company policies
- Help develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all state and federal labor laws
- Assist with payroll processing, including reviewing timesheets, entering payroll data, and generating payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Coordinate and support internal investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution, always focusing on fairness and thorough documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, HRIS data, and compliance reporting
- Conduct new employee orientations and facilitate training sessions as needed
- Provide support to managers and employees on all HR-related matters, including performance improvement, development plans, and organizational changes
- Participate in audits, health and safety programs, and compliance reviews as needed
Required Skills:
- Previous job experience as an HR Manager or similar HR role
- Demonstrate knowledge of employment law and HR compliance standards
Preferred Skills:
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, especially metal fabrication, is highly preferred
- Experience as a benefit administrator, including health and retirement plans
- Experience with OSHA regulations and safety management is a significant advantage in our fabrication setting

Flexible Hours Pay:
$70,000 - $80,000 per yearWork Location:
