Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Human Resources Manager provides full ownership and leadership of the Human Resources function, overseeing all day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, compliance, recruiting, training, and organizational development initiatives. The HRM maintains knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, workforce trends, and talent management strategies to ensure organizational effectiveness and compliance. This role is also responsible for leading the recruitment process for low-to-mid level positions while managing external recruiters and recruitment strategies for senior and executive-level hiring. The HRBP develops, implements, and administers employee training and development programs that support workforce performance, compliance, and company culture. This position serves as a strategic partner to leadership and a primary resource for employees across all HR-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources Leadership & Ownership Own and manage all day-to-day Human Resources functions and operations across the organization. Maintain employee personnel records and HR documentation in compliance with company and legal requirements. Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers regarding policies, procedures, employee relations, and workplace concerns. Develop, implement, maintain, and communicate HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Lead and manage employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and terminations. Monitor employee morale, engagement, and company culture, and recommend improvement initiatives. Manage unemployment claims, workers' compensation matters, and labor-related reporting requirements. Oversee compensation planning, benefits administration, leave administration, and payroll coordination. Talent Acquisition & Recruiting Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for low-to-mid level positions, including sourcing, interviewing, candidate evaluation, offer coordination, and onboarding. Partner with department leaders to identify staffing needs and define job requirements and competencies. Manage and coordinate external recruiters, search firms, and recruiting strategies for upper-level and specialized positions. Oversee background checks, employment verifications, and pre-employment processes. Continuously improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, and hiring efficiency. Employee Training & Development Establish, implement, and manage company-wide employee training and development programs. Develop onboarding and orientation programs to support successful employee integration. Coordinate mandatory and non-mandatory training initiatives including compliance, safety, anti-harassment, leadership development, and professional development programs. Track and document employee training completion, certifications, continuing education, and compliance requirements. Identify organizational training needs and recommend development initiatives to enhance employee performance and retention. Communication & Organizational Support Create and distribute internal HR communications related to policy updates, benefits, organizational changes, and employee programs. Provide guidance and coaching to managers regarding employee performance, talent development, and HR best practices. Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective actions or organizational improvements when needed. Support organizational growth initiatives and workforce planning efforts. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; PHR or SHRM certification preferred. 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including employee relations, recruiting, and training program management. Experience recruiting for hourly, administrative, and professional-level positions, and managing external recruiters or staffing agencies for senior-level hiring preferred. Thorough knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance requirements, and HR best practices. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
