Job Description

The Workforce Manager is responsible for providing staffing relief to home locations on their assigned caseload. This position will assist in hiring direct support professionals and assuring the teams have a well-trained and motivated staffing pool.
Duties:
In conjunction with Human Resources, interview and hire Community Living Direct Support Professionals. Ensure new hires complete classroom training within 30 days. Coordinate with program management teams to schedule shadowing shifts for all new hires to complete on the job training. Coordinates with direct support staff and program management teams to ensure effective staff training in the implementations of all behavior development and program plans. Manage Paid Time Off (PTO) process for all DSP's within assigned Workforce Manager caseload. Manage schedules for assigned caseload. Caseload may vary. Ensure schedule matches approved staffing pattern Ensure schedule protocols are followed Utilize Staffing Pool to cover open positions, PTO and LOA. Support employees in Staffing Pool to identify permanent work locations with appropriate time period. Help program management teams troubleshoot coverage solutions when Staffing Pool is at capacity. Approve and track direct support hours covered by Supervisors and Managers. Disseminate Staffing Pool survey each week, evaluate results, discussing concerns with the appropriate level of management. Follow protocol for approving overtime. Ability to work with team to establish an effective on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
Education :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with coursework in the human services field is preferred.
Experience :
If degreed, must have one year working in with people with developmental disabilities and one year supervisory experience with a large team. Candidates without a degree must have five years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities and minimally two years supervisory experience with a large team.
Specific Skills :
Maintains safe driving record, Missouri Class E license, or Illinois license, and current vehicle insurance. Must have reliable, working vehicle. Ability to manage program within assigned budget. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Work and Outlook with the ability to learn other systems quickly.
Other :
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule. Must be willing to travel to within the state as needed to support assigned caseload.
