Job Description

HR Manager (Manufacturing & Logistics) Custom Container Living is a growing manufacturer of modular homes and container-based structures. We are seeking a highly organized and accountable Operations & HR Manager to take ownership of office operations, human resources, and transportation permitting. This is a hands-on, high-impact role—ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in keeping a business running smoothly. This role is responsible for driving accountability across attendance, hiring, and office processes to support production operations. HR & People Operations
  • Manage recruiting (job postings, screening, interview coordination)
  • Maintain a pipeline of candidates and track time-to-fill for open roles
  • Oversee onboarding, employee records, and documentation
  • Maintain and enforce company policies and attendance standards
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee relations, benefits, and HR needs Payroll & Office Management
  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time
  • Manage accounts payable / receivable and vendor communication
  • Track invoices, expenses, and office operations
  • Support internal systems and process improvements (ERP/Odoo)
  • Maintain organized records and documentation across office functions Operational & Systems Support
  • Assist with ERP (Odoo) data entry and system adoption
  • Help document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Custom Container Living and external IT providers to coordinate and resolve technology and system issues
  • Support overall organization and process improvement across departments Transportation Permits & Logistics
  • Coordinate oversize/overweight (OS/OW) permits for modular home deliveries
  • Work with state agencies and permit services to ensure compliance by route
  • Track permit documentation and requirements
  • Support scheduling to ensure no delays in deliveries due to permitting issues What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years experience in office management, HR, or operations
  • Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally Preferred Experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, trucking, or logistics
  • Experience coordinating permits or working with state agencies
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Odoo, or similar systems Benefits
