Long Term Care Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources to join our team. As the Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR operations and implementing strategies to support the organization's goals and objectives. This is a key leadership role that requires strong HR knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to drive HR initiatives effectively.
Responsibilities:
  • Performs and or verifies all pre-employment requirements for prospective and new employees.
  • Perform and/or timely coordinate all benefits for new employees.
  • Process and timely manage any employment related incident/injury and obtain needed documents for any workers compensation related incident.
  • Maintain timely and accurate communication with Workers Compensation provider for all employee related incidents.
  • Coordinate delegate and/or perform New Hire Orientation monthly or as needed for the facility.
  • Effectively manage personnel related issues with appropriate Department Head and/or Administrator.
  • Maintain appropriate personnel documentation and perform routine audits to ensure all licensees, certifications, required documents are current, active, and present.
  • Ensure any/all payroll status changes are obtained within 7 days of the change and ensure proper, timely, and accurate payroll status changes are communicated with the benefits providers.
  • Monthly Insurance Audit for Insurance Broker and Administrator
  • Work with department heads to determine hiring needs and immediately establish advertisements.
  • Maintain constant monitoring of applicants to ensure department heads have immediate access to applicants.
  • Work regularly with Administrator to effectively prevent and/or troubleshoot situations that may adversely affect the facility.
  • Communicate regularly with administrator to ensure follow up on items that have occurred or to provide regular status updates on personnel and facility projects.
  • Responsible to report any required OSHA reports timely.
  • Responsible to maintain working knowledge of facility policies, enforce them appropriately, and recommend modifications to facility policies as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Human Resources Equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Director of Human Resources or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, laws, and regulations
  • Strong understanding of talent acquisition strategies and techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Strong program management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
