Job Description
Are you a dynamic, experienced, and strategic HR leader looking to make a difference and have real impact? The City of Springfield is looking for a passionate professional ready to drive innovation, cultivate strong workplace culture, and support or greatest asset: our people! In this pivotal role, you'll serve as the Human Resources Manager over our operations division, this will include payroll and benefits administration.
What You'll Do:
Directly lead and manage HR Operations Division, including payroll, HRIS and benefits program areas. Administration of our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), performance management system, electronic forms processing, etc Partner with HR colleagues, City leadership, employees, and external stakeholders to drive impactful HR initiatives that support staff at every level. Managing payroll to include monitoring payroll controls and implementing process improvements for efficiency gains as well as error/risk reduction Coordinates the design and administration of employee benefits programs.What You'll Need:
A well-rounded background in multiple HR disciplines and the confidence to lead various programs and initiatives. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, forward-thinking, and evolving environment. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Personnel Administration, Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field;; OR an equivalent combination of education and professional HR certification(s); AND Five years of related and progressively responsible experience in both payroll, HRIS and benefits administration Experience must include a minimum of one year of supervisory experience. A Master's Degree may be substituted for one year of required experience. Licensing/Certification If operating a motor vehicle for the purpose of completing job duties, must possess a valid driver's license.PREFERRED
