The essential functions of each individual position are determined and maintained by each individual department. Oversee grant processes, secures funding, ensure compliance and manages a team to support organizational goals. Identify and research potential funding opportunities from government agencies and foundations. Lead and manage a team of grant professionals, providing training and guidance to enhance the quality of grant proposals. Work with grants staff to identify public and private funding sources. Work with grants staff to submit proposals and applications for funding. Develop policy recommendations for Board of Supervisors consideration. Assists County Administrator with strategic and long-range planning. Tracks local, state and national policies on human capital development. Establishes "work teams" for special initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and five (5) years of professional experience in an administrative capacity. Terms of Employment This is a non-exempt position.
