Job Description

Human Resources Business Partner 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Newton, NC 28658 Act as a trusted resource responsible for supporting company wide and department strategies within site, under the direction of the HR Manager. The role would ideally support the Operations function. Partner with supervisors and managers to address employee performance issues. Provide training, coach, and counsel line managers on how to address employee issues. Provide support to managers during the annual review process. Handle Employee Relations concerns and conduct investigations as necessary. Partner with Recruiting team to ensure the number of openings are correctly identified within forecasted/headcount constraints. Support the recruiting and onboarding process, attend job fairs as needed. Assist with the facilitation of training for hourly employees. Communicate training initiatives to line managers and ensure training is being completed by the required deadlines. Support training compliance initiatives. Support payroll by confirming new hire and termination information. Serve as a backup for payroll processing and orientation. Process Workers Comp claims and provide support to the claim representative and EHS representative from opening to the closing of the claim. Learn all HR policies and have a good understanding of Federal and state laws, to be able to address questions that may arise. Own Employee weekly newsletter process. Create and distribute internal communications. Run daily, weekly, monthly reports to monitor HR KPIs such as turnover and absenteeism. Provide support to Benefits Administration team and facilitate open enrollment meetings as needed. Assist with employee event facilitation. Support annual increase process for hourly employees. Other duties as needed. Education
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably focused inn Human Recourses Experience
  • at least 2
  • 5 years of experience in HR, preferably in manufacturing.
Position may involve occasional local travel for trainings, job fairs or to visit other GKN locations. Position is an onsite position.
