In this role, the Human Resources Manager will be responsible for managing many HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, community service, and benefits administration. This role also serves as the primary point of contact for our team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIITIES
: Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures. Ensures guest interactions are always positive. Smiles with every guest. Overseeing recruitment efforts for all personnel, including writing and placing job ads. Manages our J-1 program in coordinating interviews, hire dates, and completing all administrative tasks associated with the program. Maintaining department records and reports. Assisting in benefits administration. Performs all payroll duties, as well as processing weekly payroll. Contributing to the development of HR department goals, objectives, and systems. Provides HR leadership through the implementation and interpretation of policies and programs, coordination of information flow and marketing of HR strategy. Provides direction and leadership to assigned HR staff. Provides interpretation of policies and procedures; i.e. guides managers in handling sensitive issues in regard to performance management and other employee relations matters. Ensures that employees within areas of responsibility adhere to the company policies and procedures and are in compliance with applicable HR requirements. Assists in implementing required initiatives and best-demonstrated HR practices in conjunction with management. Handles employee relations, addressing issues, and resolving conflicts to maintain a safe and comfortable workplace. Appropriately identify and build relationships with community professionals. Host community service events for all team members. Conducts training programs on topics including sexual harassment, selection, motivation, office productivity, and performance management. Provides HR insight into operational issues and goals. Prepares and audits data to ensure appropriate business decisions are being made within the areas of responsibility. Uses data to make educated decisions and suggestions to management. Coordinates and counsels management on the proper handling of all reductions in workforce. Provide HR leadership and counsel on matters involving people and change/cultural management. Identify best practices for accountability and appropriate HR reporting metrics that support company goals and objectives. May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Associate's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues and to maintain confidentiality. Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires strong analytical and quantitative skills. Intermediate Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills required. Decisions are made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve complex results. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
