About Our Client Our client is a food manufacturing organization supplying high-quality protein products to retail, food service, and commercial channels. This facility operates in a fast-paced production environment supporting approximately 80 employees on-site. Job Description Addison Group is partnering with our client to hire an experienced HR Generalist to support daily HR operations at a manufacturing facility. This role will serve as the primary HR contact on-site, supporting production employees and leadership while ensuring compliance, payroll accuracy, and employee engagement. Key Responsibilities Employee Relations & Plant Support Act as a trusted advisor to supervisors and hourly production staff regarding workplace policies and concerns Investigate employee issues and partner with leadership to implement appropriate resolutions Support performance management, including coaching conversations and corrective action processes Foster a respectful and productive workplace culture within a fast-paced plant environment Recruiting & Onboarding Coordinate onboarding activities, orientations, and training schedules for new hires Support retention initiatives and workforce planning efforts Ensure new employees are integrated effectively into production teams Compliance & HR Administration Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations (including wage and hour, leave laws, and safety standards) Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS systems Assist with internal audits, reporting, and policy updates Support implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures Benefits & Payroll Coordination Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions and enrollment support Assist with leave management processes, including
FMLA, ADA
accommodations, and workers' compensation Partner with payroll to review timecards and ensure accurate pay practices Training & Development Coordinate plant safety and compliance training in collaboration with operations Track training completion and maintain related documentation Assist with leadership development and workforce planning initiatives
Qualifications Experience:
5-10 years of HR Generalist or HR Business Partner or HR Management management Manufacturing experience is required Bilingual in Spanish/English is required Union environment experience required Processing payroll is required Experience supporting production or hourly employees strongly preferred
Technical Skills:
Experience working within HRIS platforms (any system) Familiarity with payroll processes and timekeeping systems
Soft Skills:
Strong emotional intelligence and ability to remain composed in a production setting Proven ability to build trust with hourly workforce populations Skilled in de-escalating conflict and managing sensitive workplace matters Comfortable addressing safety concerns, performance issues, and plant-floor incidents
Education:
