Job Description

HudsonWay Immersion School (HWIS) is a progressive pre-K through Grade 8 Mandarin and Spanish Immersion School founded 20 years ago in the NJ/NY area. The school's mission is to prepare students with the knowledge, skills and character to become global contributors and citizens of the world. Students perform well above average and are accepted at top tier independent schools.
Major responsibilities:
Benefits administration Disability and unemployment claims 401K contributions Visa applications Hiring and employee evaluations Payroll and PTO, vacation tracking Managing other HR issues, making recommendations to senior management Liaise with payroll, 401K and other vendors Act as HR resource to all employees Recommend and implement as necessary process improvements Prepare reports as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources, Master's Degree a plus SHRM certification a plus Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR generalist role Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Ability to work on multiple projects and manage time efficiently. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. School experience preferred but not required Must be willing to work onsite split between the NY and NJ campuses Language ability in Mandarin or Spanish a plus No Relocation available.
