Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced HR Director to lead human resources operations for a multi-site organization in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to manage a wide range of HR functions, from compliance and payroll to benefits and employee relations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to provide strategic HR leadership while managing day-to-day responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary HR resource overseeing operations across multiple locations.
- Manage key HR functions, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance with federal and state employment laws.
- Provide expert guidance on multi-state employment regulations and ensure adherence to legal standards.
- Facilitate recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes to support workforce needs.
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of 401(k) notices, onboarding documentation, and other employee records.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and site managers to deliver HR solutions and strategic recommendations.
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive employee and organizational information.
- Support benefits enrollment processes and assist employees with related questions or concerns.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, offering HR insights to align with organizational goals.
- Address day-to-day HR needs while driving long-term initiatives in a dynamic environment. + IMPORTANT - STATE and FEDERAL Compliance Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, including roles such as Senior HR Generalist, HR Manager, or HR Director.
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws, with experience supporting multi-state operations.
- Proven expertise in payroll management, benefits administration, recruiting, and compliance.
- Familiarity with HR systems, with a preference for experience using ADP Workforce Now.
- Strong judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as the sole HR resource in a busy organization.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the capacity to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Experience in leading HR initiatives in fast-paced or transitional environments.
