We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to lead our people operations and help scale a high-performance, patient-centered culture. Position Summary The Human Resources Director will oversee all aspects of human resources strategy, compliance, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation administration, and organizational development across the company. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with strong experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or substance use treatment environments. This leader will partner closely with executive leadership to build scalable HR infrastructure, improve employee engagement, strengthen retention, and ensure compliance with all applicable labor and healthcare regulations. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on organizational design, workforce planning, culture, and employee engagement Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company growth objectives Build scalable HR systems, policies, and operational processes Talent Acquisition & Workforce Management Lead recruiting and onboarding initiatives across clinical, operational, and corporate functions Develop hiring strategies for licensed clinical staff, medical and clinical personnel, admissions teams, and line staff Improve recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, retention, and quality of hire Partner with program leaders on staffing plans and workforce forecasting Employee Relations & Culture Foster a positive, accountable, and mission-driven workplace culture Lead employee engagement, performance management, coaching, and disciplinary processes Manage employee investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action processes Support leadership development and management training initiatives Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Maintain compliance related to healthcare workforce requirements, credentialing coordination, and Joint Commission standards Oversee HR policies, employee handbook administration, and documentation standards Compensation & Benefits Manage compensation structures, salary benchmarking, incentive programs, and benefits administration Evaluate and improve benefits offerings and employee wellness initiatives Support payroll coordination and HRIS optimization HR Operations Oversee HRIS systems, employee records, reporting, and analytics Develop KPIs and dashboards related to retention, turnover, hiring, and workforce performance Create scalable SOPs and HR workflows to support organizational growth Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience Experience managing HR operations in healthcare, behavioral health, substance use treatment, or related industries Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices Experience supporting organizations with 100+ employees Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills Preferred SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification Experience in multi-site healthcare operations Familiarity with Joint Commission accredited environments Experience with healthcare recruiting and workforce retention initiatives Knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary Performance-based bonus opportunity Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Professional development support Leadership growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding organization Why Join Us?
