Job Description:
GENERAL PURPOSE
Under administrative direction of the Human Resources Director, incumbent manages, supervises and coordinates the daily operations of the Human Resources Department and Risk Management Department, including providing direct administrative support to the Human Resources Director in the following areas: recruitment and selection, benefits, employee health and wellness programs and employee relations. Assists the Human Resources Director in matters pertaining to Employee and labor relations, disciplinary actions, classification and compensation, training and employee assistance; equal employment opportunity, employee and organization development, central personnel records; incumbent provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Human Resources Director. Incumbent will be responsible for the communication of risk policy, processes, including risk assessment, reduction, reporting, and safety, and coordinate with the HR/Risk Administrator. The incumbent supervises the work of professional, technical and administrative staff of the Human Resources and Risk Management Departments.

$42.49 p/h
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in human resources, business administration, public administration or a closely related field Three (3) years of increasingly responsible human resources experience, which includes at least two (2) years of supervisory responsibility Computer skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint with combination of four (4) years experience with applications Valid Driver's License OR- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and/or experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered for the minimum qualifications Must pass a background check
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification in Human Resources Management from an accredited program such as SHRM, HRCI or another similar program Certification in Risk Management from an accredited program such as RIMS or similar program Application Special Instructions Application Special Instructions Please respond accurately to all questions regarding your qualifications for this position.
