Job Description
Why this role matters You are joining CPL at an inflection point of growth. As one of our HR Business Partners, you will play a key role in ensuring alignment and delivery between HR strategy and business objectives across the firm. Serving as a trusted strategic partner and advisor to leaders and team members as part of a dynamic, growth-focused environment. You will help strengthen culture, improve performance, and drive organizational effectiveness. What you'll do Partner with leaders to align HR strategies with business goals. Strengthen employee engagement, morale, productivity, and retention. Provide day-to-day performance management guidance and support evaluation processes. Lead employee relations efforts, including investigations, documentation, and resolution. Advise on disciplinary actions and terminations in compliance with employment laws and company policy. Conduct exit interviews and provide actionable feedback. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations. Maintain and support job descriptions, career paths, and development frameworks. Identify training needs and collaborate with Learning & Development to deliver solutions. Partner with HR Operations on employment changes, promotions, and leaves of absence. Support organizational change initiatives and cross-functional collaboration. Must Haves:
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of HR Generalist experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Working knowledge of compensation, employee relations, and performance management. Strong proven understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulatory compliance. Proven experience supporting multiple stakeholders and teams with strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels. Nice toHaves:
Proven experience with compensation strategies, programs, or analysis. Experience in the A/E/C or construction industry.
