About Us Perry Veterinary Clinic is a growing, multi-location veterinary practice serving Western New York. With 4 clinic locations, a large animal division, centralized warehouse operations, and over 100 employees including 40+ veterinarians, we are committed to delivering high-quality care while building a strong, supportive workplace. We are seeking an HR Manager to support and strengthen our people operations as we continue to grow. The Role This is a hands-on HR leadership role responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations across a multi-site organization. You will work closely with the COO, CFO, and leadership team to support recruiting, employee relations, compliance, benefits, and HR systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with people, building structure, and supporting leaders across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities Manage recruiting and hiring coordination across all locations Lead onboarding and employee lifecycle processes Serve as a resource for employees and managers on HR-related matters Support employee relations, performance management, and documentation Administer employee benefits and coordinate annual open enrollment Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including OSHA, ACA, and required reporting Manage workers' compensation, disability, unemployment, and related claims Oversee HR processes including employee records, handbook updates, and policy implementation Support payroll processes including PTO tracking, benefits updates, and coordination with finance Assist with training initiatives including harassment prevention and workplace safety Support internal communication and employee engagement efforts Provide administrative and reporting support related to HR operations Qualifications 3+ years of HR experience (HR Generalist or HR Manager preferred) Experience supporting multi-site or 50+ employee organizations preferred Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws Experience with compliance reporting, benefits administration, and employee relations Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities across locations Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office What We're Looking For A people-first mindset with strong interpersonal skills A proactive, solutions-oriented approach Ability to work independently while supporting multiple teams Someone who can help build and improve HR systems as the organization grows
