  • Full-time Human Resources Manager Medical Motor Service of Rochester and Monroe County provides more than 475,000 trips per year, servicing nearly 6,100 residents of Rochester and Monroe County who are disabled, senior citizens, and/or unable to use traditional transit services.
As the only nonprofit agency with this sole focus, Medical Motor Service plays an important role in the everyday lives of many people. Medical Motor Service is looking to hire a Human Resources Manager to join the organization in our Rochester, NY location. This would be a full time, exempt position. The Human Resources Manager will have a Human Resources Assistant that reports to them.
Job Description:
  • Lead recruiting activities for the organization by implementing strategies, processes and procedures that build a quality and diverse pipeline of talent, including all stages of posting jobs, reviewing applicants, conducting or arranging interviews, and onboarding of new hires.
  • Handle employee relations including coaching, development, discipline and termination, in accordance with company policy.
  • Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, trainings, and initiatives to support the organization's compliance and strategy needs.
  • Oversee and administer benefits, leave of absence, disciplinary matters, and other human resource programs.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy.
  • Nurtures a positive working environment.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies and communicate changes to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of human resources experience required, at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Prior experience working for a nonprofit organization is highly preferred.
  • Certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR, highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skillset, including proven success in supervisory.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization. Salary range for this position is $75,000
  • 85,000.
Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and/or education.
