Human Resources Manager

We are seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations at our Conneaut manufacturing facility. This role is the primary HR partner for the plant, supporting hourly and salaried employees across 3 shifts. You will drive recruitment, employee relations, compliance, payroll, and training programs while ensuring alignment with corporate HR policies and quality/environmental standards such as TS 16949 and

ISO 14001.

Key Responsibilities Partner with plant leadership to support workforce planning, staffing, and engagement across all shifts. Recruit, interview, and select hourly and salaried employees. Coordinate onboarding, pre-employment screenings, and personnel record setup. Process payroll changes, salary adjustments, and personnel transactions. Administer benefits and respond to HR-related employee questions. Advise supervisors on employee relations, attendance, discipline, and performance management. Monitor and track attendance, corrective actions, vacation, leave of absence, and FMLA. Support performance evaluations and HR reporting; prepare monthly workforce metrics. Promote safety compliance and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other HR duties as assigned. Preferred Skills and Experience Experience in the manufacturing industry. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and HRIS/payroll systems; Plex experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively between production employees and leadership. Knowledge of attendance programs, corrective actions, leave administration, and HR compliance in manufacturing.
