Our HR Partners care deeply about the employee experience, proactively listening to Builder sentiment, and serving as a connector between Builders, managers, and HRBPs. This is an on-site role based in the Data Centers it supports 100% of the time. It also requires travel to other site locations within the cluster on a weekly basis. Key job responsibilities The Data Center Operations Site HR Partner in our Builder Experience Team (BeXT) focuses on the Builder experience. In this role, you will collaborate with Data Center Operations leaders, HRBPs, and partner teams to innovate, implement, and deploy HR strategies from talent and performance management, compensation, employee relations and other HR functions across the cluster of Data Centers you support. This role also has a special focus on leveraging Builder listening mechanisms to proactively monitor and analyze Builder sentiment trends, and provide regular sentiment updates and recommended actions to site leadership and HR Business Partners. To thrive, you will need a flexible skill set, including the ability to manage multiple scenarios utilizing HR expertise, consulting skills, and influence. You will also need to connect sentiment trends and other HR data to the bigger picture goals of the operation, while diving deep into the details, collaborating and consulting across teams. A day in the life
- Proactively leverage Builder sentiment data to advocate for Builders' needs so they feel fully engaged in the work they do and valued for who they are.
- Partner with leaders at multiple levels of the organization to develop proactive strategies and goals focused on the Builder experience.
- Actively engage with Builders by conducting weekly Gemba Go See (GGS) walks.
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as HRBPs, Employee Relations, and Labor Relations to align on Builder engagement actions.
- Apply your knowledge of HR fundamentals to problem solve and influence in diverse populations
- Work in a fast-paced and complex changing environment driven by continuous innovation
- Consult, coach, and develop site leadership through decision making with empathy and sound judgement; collaborate and action on talent management processes, people development and performance management, compensation, and employee relations issues.
- Foster and role model an environment of inclusion for all Builders.
- Exercise high-judgement, manage through ambiguity and serve as first point of escalation for Builder concerns.
- Support Builder queries and situations with discretion and expertise, navigating Amazon Policies and applying high judgement as necessary.
- Actively promote adoption of technology and self-service.
- Collaborate and influence multiple levels of the organization, ranging from Builders to senior leaders.
- Conduct workplace investigations in collaboration with Builder Relations.
- Own and deliver site specific people projects in partnership with site leadership About the team Diverse Experiences AWS values diverse experiences.
- 5+ years of HR work within an international, fast-paced, and customer-driven environment experience
- 2+ years of human resources or a mix of equivalent experience
- Knowledge of local labor law
- Experience in HR within an international, fast-paced and customer-driven environment
- Experience in a call center, distribution center, or manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting hourly employee client group
- Experience with MS Office tools and HR Information Systems
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources Management
- Experience in human resources with companies supporting 250-500 or more associates
