Job Description

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for all aspects of human resources practices and processes for a privately owned organization of approximately 100 employees. This role serves as both a partner to leadership and a hands-on resource for employees, ensuring compliance, supporting company culture, and driving effective people management practices.
Responsibilities:
1. Employee Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters Investigate and resolve workplace issues, complaints, and conflicts Promote a positive, respectful, and productive work environment Advise managers on employee performance, discipline, and engagement 2. Recruitment and Staffing Manage fullcycle recruiting (job postings, sourcing, interviewing, hiring) Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs Ensure a smooth and effective onboarding process Maintain job descriptions and organizational structure 3. Compliance and Policy Management Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Maintain and update employee handbook and HR policies Oversee recordkeeping (personnel files, I9s, etc.) Manage audits and reporting requirements 4. Compensation and Benefits Administer employee benefits programs (health, retirement, leave) Process payroll on a biweekly basis Conduct market research to maintain competitive compensation practices 5. Performance Management Implement and manage performance review processes Coach managers on goal setting, feedback, and development Support employee development and training initiatives 6. HR Operations and Systems Maintain HRIS and employee data integrity Streamline HR processes for efficiency and scalability Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist or manager role Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices HR certification (SHRMCP, SHRMSCP, or
PHR/SPHR
