Our mission is to serve as the primary resource for fighting hunger in Northwest Louisiana. Our vision is to ultimately end hunger in Northwest Louisiana by ensuring a consolidated network of effective food collection and distribution which will provide universal access to food for the needy in our community.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Finance/HR serves as a member of the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana executive management team. The position is responsible for managing all financial functions and human resources activities for the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana. The Director of Finance/HR must demonstrate an active commitment to the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana mission in all aspects of daily work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Financial Management o Oversee and manage all accounting and finance operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll and bank reconciliations o Produce timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for leadership and the board o Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal and state regulations and funder requirements o Coordinate annual audits or reviews and manage relationships with external auditors o Manage grant reporting and restricted funds tracking o Maintain and improve internal controls and financial policies • Human Resources Management o Administer employee benefits, leave and payroll processes o Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding and offboarding processes o Maintain personnel files and ensure compliance with labor laws and HR best practices o Advise executive leadership on employee relations, performance management and organizational policies o Foster a positive workplace culture aligned with the organization's mission and values

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate for this position will have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or related field. (CPA certification or Master's Degree preferred but not mandatory.) A minimum 5 years of progressively responsible finance/accounting experience. Experience in HR or combined finance/HR role preferred. Nonprofit experience strongly preferred. Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is required. Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills are necessary. This position also requires the ability to manage multiple priorities in a small-team environment.
