This is a part‑time role (20-25 hours per week) with a hybrid schedule , requiring on‑site presence 2-3 days per week at our North Plains, Oregon location. Success in this role is defined by responsive employee support, sound judgment in employee relations matters, strong compliance execution, and reliable HR administration. This role supports approximately 30 permanent employees (35 including temporary and contract staff) across warehouse, office, and limited remote environments. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations questions and concerns Provide guidance to managers on performance management, conduct, attendance, and policy application Independently handle low‑ to moderate‑level employee relations matters and escalate higher‑risk issues as appropriate Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and internal policies Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in BambooHR Track and administer employee leave, including PTO and FMLA where applicable Coordinate harassment prevention and other required compliance training Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, terminations, and qualifying life events Coordinate employee changes with Finance to support accurate payroll processing Support hiring needs as they arise and coordinate onboarding and offboarding Manage relationships with HR vendors and service providers Qualifications 5+ years of HR generalist experience Prior experience as a solo HR professional or in a small organization strongly preferred Strong working knowledge of employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration Experience using an HRIS platform (BambooHR preferred) Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight Ability to be on‑site 2-3 days per week Compensation and Schedule Hourly rate of $40-$50 per hour , commensurate with experience Part‑time schedule of 20-25 hours per week Hybrid work arrangement with required on‑site presence 2-3 days per week Important Notes This role is part‑time and is not expected to convert to full‑time Best suited for experienced HR professionals seeking reduced hours or fractional work On‑site presence is required to effectively support employees and managers Equal Opportunity Employer Jewett Cameron is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
