This field-facing role emphasizes leader coaching, employee relations, and consistent application of HR programs. The People Partner will split time between HQ in Irvine and the manufacturing plant in Moreno Valley, fostering a positive work environment and supporting effective, compliant people practices. Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to): Coach front-line and mid-level leaders on performance management, feedback, documentation, and employee conversations; support corrective actions and performance improvement plans. Serve as primary HR contact for employee relations matters across HQ and manufacturing sites; conduct investigations with People Operations and Legal and ensure timely, consistent, and compliant resolution. Reinforce leadership expectations, company values, and consistent application of people practices across diverse environments, including shift-based and hourly workforces. Support performance management cycles, goal setting, manager accountability, and proper recordkeeping in partnership with People Operations. Maintain regular weekly on-site presence at Irvine HQ and Moreno Valley manufacturing plant to align HR support with operational needs. Partner with Talent Acquisition and People Strategy to support hiring, onboarding, workforce planning, and HR initiatives aligned to business goals. Lead new hire orientation, support intern programs, and contribute to culture and engagement initiatives. Prepare HR reports and analytics to inform leadership decisions. Assist with policy development and updates to ensure compliance with employment laws and company standards. Provide general HR guidance to employees and managers and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field 5+ years progressive HR experience (HRBP or Generalist) Strong knowledge of California employment law and employee relations Proven leader coaching and real-time issue resolution skills Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels. Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands. High discretion, confidentiality, and customer focus Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing, operations, or multi-site support Automotive or startup experience Bilingual (Spanish or Mandarin) Technical Skills Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capability

Compensation:
$100,000 - $115,000 /annual salary. Compensation will vary DOE. At Karma, our base pay is one part of our total rewards package. Compensation offered may vary on multiple factors, including market location, education, skills and experience.
