This role is responsible for driving a consistent, compliant, and high-performing employee experience by integrating Human Resources practices with safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance. The position acts as a trusted partner to dealership General Managers and partners, ensuring alignment of people focused business objectives while mitigating risk, enhancing workplace safety, and maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Responsiblities Serve as the primary HR business partner to dealership leadership across all locations. Build manager capability by providing coaching and guidance on employee issues, investigations, and disciplinary actions as needed. Assess and build practical guidelines to ensure consistent application of HR policies, processes, and best practices across all dealerships. Analyze HR metrics (turnover, retention, engagement) to inform decision-making and continuous improvement. Employee Relations & Culture Lead and conduct employee relations investigations, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture aligned with company values Identify trends and proactively address workplace concerns to mitigate risk and improve engagement Support change management initiatives across locations Safety & Risk Management Oversee and implement workplace safety programs across all dealership locations Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations specific to automotive/service environments Conduct site audits and risk assessments; develop action plans to address gaps Partner with operations to reduce workplace incidents, injuries, and workers' compensation claim Monitor and report safety KPIs; drive continuous improvement in safety performance Compliance & Governance Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (e.g., FLSA, EEO, ADA, FMLA) Maintain and update HR policies and employee handbooks in alignment with regulatory requirements Lead compliance audits and respond to external inquiries or investigations as needed Oversee recordkeeping, documentation, and reporting requirements Training & Development Ensure delivery of training programs for managers and employees as needed (e.g., harassment prevention, safety, compliance) Ensure required compliance training is completed and documented Operational Excellence Standardize HR, safety, and compliance processes across all seven locations Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and employee experience Support HR-related vendor relationships (benefits, safety, compliance, payroll etc.) Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field required 8+ years of progressive HR experience Experience in automotive, retail, manufacturing, or similarly fast-paced operational environments preferred Demonstrated experience in employee relations, safety programs, and compliance management Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of employment law, regulatory compliance, and HR best practices Experience in safety programs and workplace risk mitigation Proven ability to partner with business leaders Strong investigation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information Ability to manage multiple locations and priorities effectively Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills Work Environment & Travel Office location will be remote but will require frequent travel (up to 70%) between dealership locations across Central Florida. Combination of office and dealership/service environment exposure.
