Job Description
What You'll Be Doing The Human Resources Systems Manager plans and leads the strategy, implementation, and ongoing optimization of HR information technology platforms that support the full employee lifecycle. This role ensures system reliability, data accuracy, security, and seamless integration across HR applications. The ideal candidate partners closely with HR and IT teams to enhance processes, elevate user experience, and maintain compliance with organizational standards. They will also manage vendor relationships and oversee system upgrades, enhancements, and issue resolution.
Essential Functions:
Lead the Human Resources Information Technology team by creating and overseeing team's workflow and required tasks, define goals, communicate objectives and monitor team performance Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of HR technology platforms, ensuring data accuracy, security, and system reliability Partner with HR, IT and ERP stakeholders to analyze process needs, recommend solutions, and implement enhancements that improve efficiency and user experience Manage system integrations, upgrades, testing cycles, and issue resolution, coordinating with vendors and internal teams as needed Develop and maintain documentation, workflows, and standards to support consistent system usage and compliance with organizational policies Provide guidance and support to HR staff and end users to ensure effective adoption of HR systems and related technologies About Our Team Wake County Information Technology is in the heart of Raleigh's booming downtown, a part of the Research Triangle area. The Basics (Required Education and Experience) Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources or a related field. Three years of experience as a systems analyst or administrator including at least two years of management experience. Equivalent education and experience are accepted Please include ALL prior work experience on your application and resume. Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) Proficiency with major Human Capital Management (HCM) cloud platforms System configuration and administration skills, including workflows, automation, permissions, and security controls Experience with data management, including reporting, analytics, data integrity, and audit processes. Knowledge of system integration tools, application programming interfaces (APIs), middleware, and data exchange formats (for example:
XML, JSON, SFTP
). Strong understanding of project management methods, testing cycles, change management, and release management within HR systems Risk identification, mitigation strategies, and contingency planning How Will We Know You're 'The One'?
