Job Description
Job Overview A leading manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced HR professional to oversee Human Resources operations at a high-volume production facility. This role will be responsible for driving HR initiatives, ensuring compliance with employment policies and regulations, supporting employee relations, and partnering with leadership to achieve operational and organizational objectives. This is a hands-on leadership position with full accountability for plant-level HR functions, talent development, employee engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Lead plant-level recruiting efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring coordination, and onboarding for hourly and salaried Associates. Act as a key HR resource for employees and leadership by providing guidance on workplace concerns, policy interpretation, employee relations matters, and performance management. Support and advise Management through disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, investigations, and termination procedures when necessary. Oversee payroll review and approval processes using HRIS and timekeeping systems to ensure accuracy and compliance. Administer employee benefit programs and assist with annual Open Enrollment activities and employee education. Drive employee engagement initiatives and coordinate programs/events that support a positive workplace culture and strong Associate relations. Collaborate with Environmental Health & Safety leadership on Workers' Compensation administration, OSHA compliance, and plant safety initiatives. Generate HR metrics, reports, and documentation while supporting internal audits and compliance-related activities. Develop and communicate HR-related updates, policies, and organizational announcements to Associates. Stay current on employment laws, HR trends, and best practices through ongoing professional development and training. Provide leadership and direction to HR team members, as applicable. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, Management. Experience may be considered in lieu of education. SPHR or PHR and/or SHRM-CP Certificate, preferred. Seven years of HR leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to handle personal and confidential information. Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficient computer/systems skills - MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook). Solid organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and manage a broad range of responsibilities. High degree of concentration, attention to detail, high energy, self-motivated and self-reliant. Ability to interact well with all personality types in a leadership role. Strong cooperation, collaboration, and team-building skills.
