Job Description

SSW Premier, LLC , located in Henderson, Tennessee , is a key manufacturing facility within SSW Advanced Technologies, supporting the production of innovative components for leading global appliance OEMs. With a workforce of approximately 130 employees , this non-union facility plays an important role in delivering high-quality solutions for residential appliance applications and related markets. Building on more than 75+ years of expertise across the SSW organization, SSW Premier contributes to the design and manufacture of components and systems that serve the refrigeration, cooking, and laundry segments, along with other commercial and consumer applications. More information can be found at https://www.sswtechnologies.com/ The On-Site HR Manager will lead and manage all core Human Resources functions for the Henderson facility, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, leave management, and ensuring consistent application of company policies and practices in a non-union manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Maintain a
Strong, Continuous Talent Pipeline:
Proactively build and sustain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates to support ongoing and peak-season hiring needs for a two-shift fabrication and metal finishing operation supporting the HVAC industry . Ensure critical roles are filled quickly to maintain production continuity. Establish a
Visible Shop Floor HR Presence:
Serve as a hands-on, highly visible HR leader on the production floor , engaging employees across both shifts. Build trust, reinforce culture, address concerns in real time, and ensure strong employee engagement and retention in a non-union environment. Partner Closely with
Operations Leadership:
Work side-by-side with plant leadership to align staffing, workforce planning, and HR strategies with production goals—especially during peak season when extended hours and overtime are required .
Drive Structured Onboarding and Training:
Collaborate with Operations to design and implement effective onboarding and training programs that ensure new hires are quickly productive, well-trained, and fully aligned with safety, quality, and performance expectations. Collaborate with EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety): Partner closely with EHS to reinforce a safety-first culture , ensure compliance, support training initiatives, and promote safe work practices in a fabrication and metal finishing environment.
Lead Full-Cycle Recruiting and Workforce Planning:
Manage recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding for hourly and salaried roles. Work with leadership to anticipate workforce needs, support retention initiatives, and build organizational capability. Support a
High-Performance, Non-Union Environment:
Maintain positive employee relations by proactively addressing concerns, coaching leaders, and ensuring consistent application of policies and practices.
Manage Employee Relations and Performance:
Provide hands-on guidance to supervisors and managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations in alignment with company policies and values.
Deliver End-to-End HR Support:
Oversee compensation, benefits, and leave administration while serving as a trusted resource for employees and leadership.
Ensure Compliance and Best Practices:
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Regularly review and update policies to align with best practices and organizational needs. Oversee Payroll Administration (ADP Required): Manage and execute payroll processes using ADP , ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with wage and hour laws. Partner with Finance to resolve discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
Analyze Workforce Metrics:
Monitor trends in turnover, absenteeism, staffing levels, and compensation to drive data-informed decisions that improve retention and operational performance.
Lead Learning & Development Initiatives:
Implement training programs that enhance workforce capability, support employee growth, and strengthen leadership within the facility. Perform Additional Duties as Assigned Position Scope Leads all HR functions for the site Key strategic partner to Operations, EHS, and Finance Supports a 130-employee, non-union, two-shift manufacturing facility in Henderson, TN Environment is fast-paced, with seasonal peaks requiring flexibility and extended hours Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred 1-5+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment , ideally supporting hourly production teams Demonstrated experience in high-volume recruiting, employee relations, and workforce planning Proven ability to partner effectively with Operations and EHS teams Experience with ADP payroll and HR systems is required Equivalent combination of education and relevant HR, safety, or industrial experience may be considere General Requirements On-site presence required Monday through Friday, with flexibility to support both shifts and extended hours during peak periods Hands-on, responsive, and comfortable working in a shop floor-focused role Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills Fluent in English (bilingual a plus) Ability to travel occasionally as needed Working Conditions Combined office and manufacturing floor environment Regular exposure to production conditions including noise, temperature variations, and equipment operation Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on the shop floor Core Values Honesty Integrity Caring for People Customer Focus Teamwork Communication Continuous Improvement
